NDRA New Rules. Effective Immediately.

Postby IKENTY on Mon Jul 05, 2010 3:58 am

Dear Racers

This is a list of new rules that will come into effect for the August 1, 2010 race meet dubbed "Culturama Clash".

Saturday July 31 will be the cut off time for Registration.
Time Trials will be done on Saturday July 31 ONLY. All time trials must be done on this day, if no time trial is done on this day then one can not race on Sunday as Sunday will be for racing only.
There will be a gate charge of $10 for spectators on Saturday and $20 on Sunday.
Both days start time will be 1.00, the track will be open on both days from 9.00 am.
Once racers are paired up, whoever has lowest time has lane preference.
Category elimination races will be a one shot race and finals will be best out of three.
Once racers have reached the line, and one of the racers has a mechanical problem, we will allow them 5 minutes to rectify the problem, if they feel they need a bit more time, it is up to their opponent to allow them more time, if the opponent does not allow this time then they will have to forfeit the race.
If due to any unforeseen circumstances, a category race does not get completed there will be no winner and that category will be null and void.
All racers must show up to the line with helmet. Please make every effort to have a helmet by race day, and if possible a small fire extinguisher for your car.

There will be no more 14 seconds category. The categories and prize monies are as follows

13 Seconds - $500.00
12 Seconds - $1000.00
11 Seconds - $1000.00
10 Seconds - $1200.00
9 Seconds and Under - $1500.00
Bike - $500.00

THE NDRA HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE POLICE AND EMERGENCY PERSONNEL THAT THE 3 PEOPLE ALLOWED IN THE PIT PER REGISTERED VEHICLE RULE, WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED AS THE PIT IS BECOMING A SAFETY HAZARD. THERE WILL BE NO CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE PIT AND NO GIRLFRIENDS/WIVES ALLOWED IN THE PIT IF THEY ARE NOT A CREW MEMBER. IF VEHICLE REGISTRANTS HAVE MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE IN THE PIT THEY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

We are expecting participants out of St Marten and Trinidad for this meet.

Registration is now open, the registration fee is $40.00, you can call me at 662-2663 to register your vehicle. I will send out future correspondence when I will be in St Kitts to take registrations.

Regards
Angie

I canceled that as the St Kitts racers were not coming over. You would have to ask Jones if he will allow you the free passage.

For the cars that dont run 13, can they still participate in the test and tune every month?

This is my understanding of the New rules and Test & Tune:
No more Test and Tune so if you cant run 13 or less your car is not welcome on the track as you cant participate in the Drag Events so if you want to run on the track pay the boat $175.00 and go over. This is for the SK Racers Nevis racers can use the track even if they have a 20 sec car.

this thing jus gttn more and more negative for SK racers. How a man gone jus walk up to Jones and ask for free passage... They making enough money to support the Kititians.

The prizes ain even good. They charging $20 by the gate and $40 every racer... over 1000 people watch races every event, they already paid off for the hundred thousand dollar track. people who lose goin home with nttn... They ain even offering every racer a bottle of oil and some spark plugs to help a man wth he next car service...

When a man damage he engine they ain even offering a free tow service to the boat, u got to find ur own means... Man its nasty...

tires cheap, some man would be so happy if they win a pair of tires... At least they know they getting something on the side for the entertainment they provide

If I could go nevis and win nttn but a free bottle of castrol oil, Ill feel so good, that would be my trophy.

They should have surprise prizes, like the next racer who wins a race get this chrome exhaust, or air filter or somn... All a dem jus grabbing up the money...

NDRA all for the self....

Bill drake moving like a spammer. we done know bout ur pictures shotta.. put a link instead a thm long stupidness happn to u dawg?

Loll. Bill Drake is a Spammer.

I glad somebody else agree with me. They all about them self for true. Anguilla supposed to come sometime again. They aint even say lets give them $1000.00 to help bring up the cars and they making money off of the people them.
As it stands my car cant go Nevis no more because it TOO SLOW but yet in Antigua, Grenada & St Lucia they still have slow car races and do give prizes for them. 17 sec street class which would be about 14.5 to 15 on the 1000ft.

As I here typing the Kolonel just text me and he dont agree with the rules either.

Hi Angie, the ADRA feels that the start time of the event on Sunday is too late. Our reason is judging from previous event, none of the events was concluded. The events run into the night and it gets to dark for the cars to run. This needs to be looked in, either we start early or proper lighting is looked into.

Cant say i didn't see this coming.... NDRA is becoming all about themselves i thought the whole reason for having the track is to keep racing off the streets but if i cant make the slowest class on the track means i cant participate.....

I still don't understand how the NDRA decides the winner for classes if the races never gets to start or finish, perfect example" Lenney vs pancho i had my camera recording when the cars were lining up thats when i got distracted and saw the alteeza bolting up the road and in the air over the hill to my knowing this race was never completed so explain how the owner of the GTO get the trophy..... (maby something passing under the table) or is just bias you all bias??

I do agree with yanz in terms of getting a tow service to the boat and little tokens to show that they appreciate you for participating....

ikenty to me was an outstanding racer last event despite having a dead clutch he still participated and raced anything that lined up with him

Well to kenty and other racers from st. Kitts i guess this means BACK to the Streets!!

To V8-Specialist (maby something passing under the table) is correct. He is part of the association to my knowledge.
If we all dont stand together and boycott the NDRA they will just continue. I would love to go on the street but first we have to exhaust all of our options. First option Min Of Sports or PM meeting.

Well if they cant get us a track then make the track in Nevis available. Things going to work out some way or the other.

oh yea thats a good idea,

list points in which racers in sk can benefit from to race in nevis

It cheaper for the govt to do that than gttn another track
we register with the govt down here and be eligible for the benefits to race in nevis'

Is either they comply or we be ignorant and continue doin it illegally
